Hello!

I’m a freelance artist, designer, and teacher with over 18 years of experience in the art and design world. In 2004 I graduated with honors from Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, NY, earning my B.F.A. in Fine Art with a focus in Communications Design. After college I began working in a fast-paced advertising agency in midtown Manhattan which led to an amazing experience as book designer at HarperCollins Children’s Publishers. It is here that I learned the art of designing and printing beautiful books and cultivated meaningful relationships with the book publishing community. These connections allowed me to move out of NYC, build my own freelance design business from my home office in Summerville, and start a family (I have two children, ages 7 and 10). My experience in NYC has given me an appreciation for art culture and a passion for design and literature. I turned to education to share my love for art and I am currently earning my Art Education Certificate through Converse University while teaching Visual Arts at Rollings Middle School of the Arts and at the Public Works Art Center. I appreciate strolling through art museums, gardening and plein air sketching in South Carolina’s beautiful nature.
